Carter is off the Heart-Lung bypass machine (which means his heart was restarted) and the VSD, PDA and ASD have been repaired. The nurse figures there is about an hour left of surgery (done between 1:30 and 2:00) and then we can see Carter in the PICU about an hour after that. Everything has gone very well. There were no other apparent defects (i.e. no AV canal and the valves seem good)
Carter's surgeon should be with us about an hour from now and we'll visit with him and post a report.
