He is in Surgery now

It was an early morning for us - we got up at 4:30 a.m. and got to the hospital at 6:30 this morning. After all the registration stuff we got to meet with the surgeon. They actually changed the surgeon to Dr. Burch. He explained the procedure to us and mentioned that there might be another small problem with his AV Canal - but it is not something they can see clearly on the echo he had done Monday. He said they would repair the ASD first and then look at the AV Canal to see if needs to be fixed. He went in to surgery at 8:15 a.m. and we began the long process of waiting. Surgery is expected to take 3-4 hours after they have gotten everything set up and ready to go which will take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. We are just here waiting for any update. We will keep adding updates as we receive them.

Thanks again for your love and support.
Kristi and Alan
